WEAKNESSES
1) Pure Oxygen: Critical: L-9: If Superion Breaths high amounts of pure oxygen it will overwhelm his cardiovascular system and cause him to become unconscious. If too much pure oxygen is inhaled, Superion’s blood will clot in the veins causing cardiac arrest and ultimately death.
2) Extreme Cold: Hazardous: L-5: Superion’s inherent biological chemistry is half Venusian and half human, and, due to his Venusian DNA, he has a High tolerance for extreme heat because of Venus’s climate temperatures, but only a medium tolerance for extreme cold. It is his human DNA that enables him to have a higher tolerance to extreme cold than that of Venusian natives. When Superion is exposed to extreme cold he begins to become hypothermic and is slowed and weakened. Extended exposure to extreme cold will cause Superion to completely succumb to hypothermia and his cardiovascular system will nearly shut down until he is returned to a warmer environment. In a hypothermic state, Superion will continue to breathe, therefore he will not die unless he is breathing a high concentrate of pure oxygen.

HISTORY:
Superion gets his origin honestly from an unlikely union between a nature loving
human and a Venusian alien astronaut. Spron was a scientist on the planet Venus,
who had a passion for space travel. He was always intrigued by the ever
expanding technological advances of his race of Venusians. The only problem was
the planetary dictator, Ominus, who ruled with a heavy hand and outlawed
otherworldly contact. Ignoring the dictator's laws, Spron designed and built an
electromagnetically propelled spacecraft which he had planned to travel to
Venus's twin planet of Earth, where he would explore the atmosphere in hopes of
developing a less toxic atmosphere for Venus. His plan was to create a less
hostile environment in order to encourage otherworldly exploration to his home
world. In creating a less hostile environment, Spron also challenged the harsh rule
and laws of Ominus, which made him an instant enemy of the dictator. Upon
discovering the plans and spacecraft Spron had developed, Ominus personally
lead a destructive raid on Spron's laboratory base, which caused Spron's
exploration mission to become an escape mission. Spron barely escaped with his
spacecraft and life in tact, and, while unconscious, sailed thru space towards the
Nava computer's preprogrammed destination of Earth. There his spacecraft
crashed into the side of thickly foliaged portion of the
compounds, Spron's spaceship entered Earth's atmosphere unnoticed by any
tracking device or radar, and would have been completely anonymous if not for a
hiking nature lover who saw his vapor trail and made her way to the crash site.
Riana Ramey was a doctor turned ecologist, who decided to leave her social life
behind for a secluded existence in the Colorado Rockies in order to become one
with nature. From her cabin, she mounted her steed, Trailblazer, and tracked the
atmospheric vapor trail of what appeared to be a meteor, only to find the remains
of a small spacecraft which matched nothing she was familiar with. Upon
investigation, Riana found an alien being, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, who appeared
to be near death, lying in the fuselage. Due to both her medical training and love of
nature, she instinctively made a sled from pieces of the spacecraft and forest
foliage, and with the aid of Trailblazer, dragged the alien back to her cabin where
she immediately attempted to provide medical attention. Upon examining the alien,
she noticed that it was in fact a humanoid male, but its skin was a pale marble
texture, which was impenetrable by any means or tools that she had. He was also
hairless and his breathing was so faint that she could barely detect it. She was
unsure of how to treat the alien, so she drained penicillin vials into his mouth in
hopes of his ingestion and recovery. It only took 2 days before Spron was
conscious and near fully recovered. He was eternally grateful to Riana and
expressed his gratitude in the form of love, which he had never experienced on his
own planet. Riana returned his love, as much out of fascination as in its primal
form, and was ever amazed at his intellect and technological knowledge, while
reeling from his ignorance of the planet Earth.
Together they shared their vast knowledge in their areas of expertise and their
intimacy as well. Despite the astronomical odds and much to the surprise of both,
Riana became pregnant. The concern of a deformed mutant was ever present, but
Riana swore to nurture their offspring no matter what its appearance. Spron made
an effort to salvage his wrecked ship, but without the proper technological
components, it was beyond repair, so he used his vast strength to mold a new
undetectable residence for his new family. The solar powered electromagnetic
field would be invisible and near impenetrable by any human technology and they
would remain safe as long as no Venusians made any reconnaissance attempts.
For 12 months the embryo grew to maturity in his mother's human womb, as
Riana learned more about Spron's alien biology. His skin and lungs were
hardened by Venus's high C02 acidic atmosphere and extreme temperatures, and
his strength was far beyond human capacity due to Venus's greater gravitational
pull and atmospheric pressure. Naturally, his vision was more acute than humans
but, he, along with all Venusians, also had an Omni vision which, as an infant,
allows them to cut free of the womb when the gestation period had ended. On
Earth, Spron found that he had abilities that he did not have on Venus. Due to the
lesser pressure of the thinner atmosphere containing different gas types and the
lessened gravitational pull, he'd gained the ability to fly and move extremely fast.
He could also blow high speed winds from his powerful lungs. They both
wondered if the biracial infant would obtain any superhuman abilities due to the
splicing of his father's DNA. Before the infant's instinctive need to use the Omni
vision for exiting the womb, Spron performed a cesarean section on Riana in
order to avoid her potential death, and removed a male infant from her womb. At
first glance, the infant appeared to be still born, but a feeble spark of life prevailed
and the infant came to life. Riana wanted to name the child after his father, but
Spron wanted to honor the child's brave mother by including her name as well, so
they combined their names and Superion was born. In his infancy, Superion
favored his mother and appeared human in every way. Throughout his childhood,
Superion was weak and sickly, and kept his mother's medical skills ever sharp
and alert. Both parents would nurture their son's mind, providing him with the
knowledge and technological advances from Spron's home world of Venus, and
the medical and ecological knowledge of he and his mother's home world,
Earth. Spron reprogrammed the spacecrafts computer and it became a visual
educator for Superion. Although physically feeble, Superion adapted an advanced
mental capacity, which rivaled human standards in every way. At the age of 10,
Superion grew severely ill, and became bed ridden and solely dependant on his
parents. It was at this age that his life would change forever. One day, his home
was attacked by an army of Venusians, who overwhelmed and killed his father,
and then disemboweled his mother with an Omega blast while she was trying to
protect him. Upon seeing his parent's demise, Superion became enraged and with
Venusian born abilities and human will power, violently destroyed the Venusian
soldiers. It appeared that his illness was due to his Venusian DNA attempting to
bond with his human DNA thru puberty and the combination was completed with
the exertion of violent energy that became his parent's vengeance. The aftermath
of Superion's first battle gave birth to a new hybrid being, one with powers
beyond his father's and compassion beyond his mother's; Superion himself, along
with a new demeanor towards life, all life. His mother's influence gave him an
unyielding appreciation for living things, and he made a vow to give his own life
before ever taking another's. Superion salvaged his father's technology and rebuilt
their home making it his own once again, while in his leisure time he designed and
constructed a uniform from his fathers old flight suit, using the "S" that represented
his namesake as the centerpiece, which he felt was a fitting memorial to his
parents. He then used his remaining adolescent years reinforcing his intelligence
and building his knowledge so that he could find employment in the
communications field. He felt that this would give him the ability to track global
events and become a defender of galactic life. To this end, Superion assumed an
alter ego that honored his mother's name, Thomas Ramey, and began a career as
a NASA communications expert. From there, he would protect the galaxy as
Superion.
