WEAKNESSES
1) Lack of Faith in The Lord God: Dire: L-8: Spirit must maintain his Faith and Loyalty to the Almighty Lord God. If his faith falters, his powers weaken instantly and the less faith Spirit has, the weaker his powers become. His sudden proclamation of faith will result in an instant rejuvenation of his powers.
2) Willful Sin: Dire: L-8: If Jon sins willfully as himself or as Spirit, or misuses the power of Spirit for sinful purposes, he instantly looses the ability to transform in to Spirit, and if transformed, he instantly reverts back to his mortal form. This can be fatal if he is flying or in a battle where, as a mortal he could be killed. The Lord God entrusted Jon with the power because of his unwavering devotion to God and his son the Savior, Jesus Christ, but if he betrays that trust, much like Samson in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, Jon will be stripped of the power until he proves himself worthy again.
3) Non-Evil Foe: Dangerous: L-4: Spirits awesome ranged Soul Vision power only works on a being with an evil or sinful soul. The Soul Vision power burns the taint from the soul of the target, forcing the target to reflect on all sinful acts and feel the pain and suffering that has been caused to others by the evil or sinful deeds. The more pure the soul, the less effective the power is. Also, Spirit cannot harm an innocent or non evil being. If he attempts to, his powers will fail him, which could result in him being severely injured. He is only allowed to defend himself or others from harm, using his Control Density power to solidify his body or make it intangible to avoid harm and escape, or his Matter Projection power to entrap his opponent(s) in order to discuss peace, protect others and/or escape.

HISTORY:
Jonathan Wraith was an average man who had devoted his life to spreading the word of the Lord God and the good news about God's son our savior Jesus Christ. He was so enthralled with the Lord God, that he opened a non denominational Christian Church and called it God's Christian House of Prayer. The title meant everything to Jon. He felt that it was truly God's property, and that God would allow it to flourish if it pleased the Lord or perish if it did not. He welcomed every person from any denomination and all walks of life, or even those who were still lost to the Lord, anyone who wanted to pray or talk to the Lord, or himself, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Jon's sermons were simple short stories of how God had touched his life and made miracles happen for him daily, or excerpts from the Bible that he would discuss as it related to himself. He then would open the floor and encourage anyone to approach the podium and reveal their stories of God in their lives, or simply talk about how they were inspired in some way. Apparently, God's Christian House of Prayer pleased the Lord, because it flourished beyond Jon's wildest dreams. Jon was an honest man whose soul was as pure as humanly possible, even though he thought of himself as less than worthy of the Lord, and he never took the donations given to God's House for himself or for personal use. He would put the money into a safe there in the Church office, and send out questionnaires on how to improve God's House and the community. Jon's contributions to the community and the people of the community were historical, but Jon would always give credit to the Lord God, saying that it is the Lord's will that allows these things to transpire. Jon's wife of five years, Alicia, shared in his love for the Lord. She could always be found next to him, supporting him and praying along with him. They met at the construction site in Mid Town, when Alicia heard about the new Church in her neighborhood and wanted to find out more about it and its owners. Alicia was skeptical of denominational Churches due to the misinterpretation, invalidity and different practices that rippled thru them all. When Jon told her that God was the owner of this House of Prayer, and its denomination was simply Christian, Alicia was intrigued and smitten. They were married after only a 6 month courtship and were never happier. With his quick wit and charm, and complete devotion to the Lord, Jon became a well liked patron of the community. However, not everyone in the community was as enthusiastic about Jon's presence, although they did take a keen interest in the monetary income of the new place of worship. Unknown to Jon, there was a stalker in the neighborhood who would follow him to his own house and study his habits. Knowing that Jon and Alicia would share fellowship on Sundays from nine 0'clock a.m. until late in the afternoon, the stalker picked his Sunday for the crime. His plan was to simply enter the empty house, find the safe, steal the Church donations and become instantly rich before Jon and Alicia returned home. Unfortunately, Alicia did not make the trip to fellowship on the chosen Sunday. She awoke that day with a severe bout of morning sickness, and elected to stay home in bed. Once Jon left the house, the stalker made his way into the Wraith residence. He searched the entire downstairs, unbeknownst to Alicia, who lay resting in her upstairs bedroom bed. When the stalker decided to check the master bedroom he found a startled Alicia, reaching for the phone to call the police. Out of desperation, the stalker lunged at Alicia, brandishing his 6 inch bladed survival knife and with one thrust, ended two lives in an instant. Still reeling from the moment, the stalker suddenly heard the entrance of Jon who had come home early to check on his darling wife. The stalker hid behind the bedroom door and when Jon entered, he gasped at the vision of his beloved, who lay in a pool of her own blood in the middle of their bed. Jon rushed to her, not noticing the stalker, and as he began to try reviving her, felt the sharp gash of a knife embedding into his lower back. Jon's knees went numb as he fell draped over his wife's body. The stalker had stabbed Jon with the same 6 inch blade that had destroyed his family, severing his spinal cord from the waist down. Jon lay motionless as coma overcame him from the shock of blood loss, while the stalker made his escape. Jon awoke two days later in the hospital only to find that not only was the nightmare real, but he was also crippled from the waist down, a paraplegic. He would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life, but even worse, the love of his life was gone.
Jon made a valiant attempt to continue life as normal, but found it near impossible. Without warning he would break down into tears every time he instinctively reached for his wife, only to grasp air, or thought of the happiness they'd shared. He would visit the grave site of his wife and unborn child daily. He had them laid to rest together, as they had lived together, in the God's Christian House of Prayer rest site. He knew she would have wanted to be there, forever a part of the place where she had helped him build their dream and dedication to God. One night, about a month after the tragedy, Jon awoke from one of his frequent nightmares about his wife and child. This time was different though. He could have sworn that Alicia was begging him to come to her grave and rescue them. Overcome with grief, Jon drove his newly modified for the handicapped van to the gravesite and, in the pouring rain, rolled his wheel chair to his family's headstone. There, he dropped to his knees in the mud in front of the headstone and prayed to the Lord God, saying that he was sorry for being so selfish in wanting his family back and that he knew that it was not God that took them, but that Satan ruled the Earth and that he was thankful to the Lord God and his son our Savior Jesus Christ that his wife and child were now in God's care and will never suffer again. Suddenly, a light engulfed Jon and as he attempted to look up, he was blinded. A voice in the light told him to grieve no more, that he had been a good and faithful servant to the Lord God, and God would reward his faith with the ability to protect others from the same evil that befell his family and him. Jon reeled in the light and thanked the Lord for his blessings. The voice in the light told Jon that when it was needed, his faith in the Lord would grant him the abilities to become a defender against all evil. His faith would grant him the power of Spirit. The voice in the light explained the abilities and weaknesses granted to him from his faith in the Lord. The light then showered Jon and appeared to flow throughout his body. Jon fell into a deep slumber and awoke the next morning with his arms wrapped around the marble Cross shaped headstone, which, inset at the bottom, bears a picture of his beautiful wife in the final month of her life resting her hand on her stomach, holding her unborn child. The words inscribed along the cross read, Thank you Christ our savior, we now rest with your Father the Lord God. John smiled upon this vision as the morning sun glistened off of the top of the Cross and he thought to himself: what an amazing dream. He pushed himself to his knees and thanked the Lord in prayer for the gift of his peace of mind. He knew the Lord worked in mysterious ways, but in a sense, he did feel physically and mentally different. It was then that he remembered the words of the voice in the light, that his faith would grant him the power of Spirit. He pondered the implications for a moment, then, as though an ocean wave had washed over him, he knew. With a single thought and a burst of light, Jon instantly transformed into Spirit.
